As Angelina Jolie has been in Australia filming her new movie "Unbroken," she and husband Brad Pitt decided to treat their kids to a trip to the zoo on Dec. 26 for Boxing Day, where the family had a close encounter with a baby kangaroo, Us Weekly reports.
"They're used to celebrating wherever they're working," an insider told Us Weekly of the famous family, which includes Jolie, Pitt and their six children, Maddox, 12, Pax, 10, Zahara, 8, Shiloh, 7, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 5.
The famous couple were dressed very casually for the outing at the Currumbin Wildlife Park in Queensland, Australia, Jolie wearing a comfy all-black ensemle while Pitt wore a gray t-shirt and jeans. They were treated to a special VIP tour of the zoo, including areas off-limits for most visitors, and 10-year-old Pax was even given the opportunity to cuddle a baby kangaroo wrapped in a pink blanket.
On Dec. 23, the family spent the afternoon Down Under boating along Queenland's Coomera River as part of Pitt's belated birthday celebration..
"They spent hours on the boat with the kids, who were really cute and friendly," an eyewitness told Us Weekly, another told the magazine, "They meet as often as they can. They don't want to spend too much time apart."
