Rumors are circulating online that Emmy Rossum will leave "Shameless" Season 7 after 10 years. This is after the official trailer showed that her character as Fiona Gallagher is not a part of the premiere episode. Also, Showtime has officially released the official plot description of episode 1 'Hiraeth'. In the meantime, fans can enjoy seasons 5 and 6 as they are now available on Netflix.
Rumor has it that Emmy Rossum, who plays the role of Fiona Gallagher will no longer be a part of "Shameless" Season 7. Movie News Guide reported that the 30-year old American actress, singer, and songwriter will not appear in the premiere episode.
In fact, Rossum did state that she took care of her role in the fictional family of Gallaghers for a decade and now she's done with it.
As for the official plot synopsis of "Shameless" Season 7 premiere episode, Showtime notes, "Frank Gallagher (William H. Macy) wakes up after a month-long coma to find no one missed him. Worried she isn't a good mother, Debbie Gallagher (Emma Kenney) takes a criminal approach to making sure Frances 'Franny' Gallagher grows up wealthy.
Meanwhile, Lip Gallagher (Jeremy Allen White) successfully completes rehab and is determined to stay "sober;" Carl Gallagher (Ethan Cutkosky) looks into surgery after learning he's the only uncircumcised brother; and Ian gets a bad feeling about Caleb's (Jeff Pierre) friend Denise."
Other than that, "Shameless" fans can now watch the Paul Abbott-created series online. According to Fansided, "Shameless" seasons 5 and 6 are officially available for online streaming.
In line with this, Netflix is yet to announce the official release date of season 7 in the streaming platform.
"Shameless" Season 7 episode 1 is entitled as "Hiraeth". The upcoming episode is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at 9:00 p.m. first and exclusive on Showtime Network.
