Aston Martin to release new convertible DB11 Volante on 2018

Aston Martin's newly developed convertible version of DB11 Volante roadster will be on sale in Spring of 2018.

As per reports, the British luxury car manufacturer confirmed that a convertible version of new DB11 Volante roadster, with a soft-top roof, will be available in 2018. The official pictures show clearly the writings on the car 'Opening spring 2018'.

Even though the front end of the car is not shown in the picture, the rear end and side view clearly describes the car as fabulously made with flowing body lines, C-shaped rear lights and distinctive vents behind the front wheels with amazing aerodynamics.

Aston Martin's developed vehicle has high competitions with the existing convertible vehicles for the rival companies like the Ferrari, Bentley, AMG and many more.

According to Autocar, the convertible DB11 Volante is reported to launch with the same type of engine which the coupe has been launched. A twin-turbo 5.2-litre V12 cylinders, making 600bhp at 6500rpm and 516lb ft between 1500 and 5000rpm. There are also chances that the car may be powered with twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 from Mercedes-AMG, making 500 and 550bhp

It is said that the car also will be heavier than the coupe as the new versions hold up the roof mechanism and chassis strengthening. The car is described as a "lightly disguised engineering car" with expectations to achieve coupe's speed of 0-62mph in 3.9sec.

The car is expected to have the same luxuriously made interiors as the coupe with more updates until the car hits the showrooms in 2018.

Aston Martin DB11 Volante is reported to command a significant premium over the £154,900 DB11, perhaps costing as much as £175,000.
