After months of never-ending speculations, Angelina Jolie, Hollywood's all-time favorite actress has finally filed for divorce from her significant other, Brad Pitt.
It's over for the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt! As per TMZ, the actress filed for divorce because of "irreconcilable differences" and is currently asking for physical custody of their six children.
The bone of contention between the so-called love birds was conflict over the kids. In order to sort out the matter promptly, Angelina Jolie will be represented by Hollywood's most famous celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser.
The name undoubtedly sounds familiar as she is often involved in handling celebrity divorce and separation cases also known as the panacea to all marital turmoil. She has legally stood for many Hollywood luminaries including Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears, Johnny Depp, Ashton Kutcher, Christina Aguilera, Ryan Reynolds and Heidi Klum.
Laura maintains, "[I tell clients] let's do this in a way that we can keep your sanity and your bank accounts intact," she said. "There's no reason to turn this into some kind of a melodrama-particularly if you're a famous person, because we know it's all going to get played out through the media."
As per E!Online, the reports suggest
"It takes a while because you have to compile information and exchange it, and then you have to make a deal," Wasser said. "I will say, when things take a long time, often it's because one party or another is not really ready to cut the cord."
As of 'Brangelina', the Oscar winning prodigy is seeking physical custody of Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox.
Angelina Jolie maintains that she does not want Brad Pitt to have joint physical custody and is pleading for only joint legal custody. She has also asked the judge to give Pitt the right to visit only.
Other than that, she is not asking for spousal support in the divorce process, which further proves that the divorce issue was merely because of Brad Pitt's parenting style. The divorce did not highlight any romantic aspects which were previously creating a buzz in the media and the presence of Pitt's ex in the entire marriage drama was utterly discarded.
Wasser, 47, is successful in separating the rich and famous. She is associated with Los Angeles family law firm Wasser, Cooperman and Mandles, initiated by her father. This is the second time Wasser will be handling Angelina Jolie's divorce. The first time was when Angelina filed for divorce from Billy Bob Thornton.
As per Angelina Jolie, the separation date was Sep. 15
