The sequel of the 2014 superhero film will finally be seen just a few months away. "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is finally finished and fans of the film could not wait for the released. Director James Gunn has revealed that a heartbreaking scene will be found with Baby Groot's presence in the sequel.
It's easy to say that, sometimes, movie sequels are not as good as their predecessors. But Gunn has reassured all Guardians of Galaxy fans that the upcoming movie will not disappoint the viewers.
The lead character Star Lord, which is played by Chris Pratt, will be back with his space-scavenging, one of which is surely looked forward by the fans. In an interview with Toronto Sun, Pratt said, "It's finished and it's going to be terrific. I think it's going to be - I'm not using hyperbole, here - I think it's going to be the biggest spectacle movie of all time."
According to MTV, Gunn has already hinted that Baby Groot will be the real breakout star of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2". We were all sad when Groot made the huge sacrifice on the previous movie. However, during the post credits, we all saw a new baby plant singing with the music, and that's how Baby Groot is going to start off.
It has also been reported that Vin Diesel will still be the one who'll voice out Baby Groot.
Meanwhile, Gunn also shared his thoughts about the ongoing rivalry between Marvel and DC Comics. In an interview with Variety, this is what the director has to say, "I just don't find any room in my headspace for thinking my movies are superior or inferior to someone else's. I really just think about how can I make, for instance right now, how can I make Guardians Vol. 2 the greatest spectacle film of all time? That's all I care about so that's what I concentrate on."
Gunn basically got a point there. The fans are the only ones creating the rivalry and maybe if all comic book fans would just respect each other's preferences, there will be no need of a feud. According to Gunn, he grew up reading Marvel and DC Comics and he just wants all of them to be good.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will hit the theaters on May 5, 2017.
