“NCIS: New Orleans” Season 3 Premiere and Preview: Season sans Zoe McLellan but with a new agent with a dark secret

'NCIS: New Orleans' Season 3 has just premiered and going by the premiere episode, it can well be said that Season 3 holds a lot for the fans of the show. But, Season 3 will not have Meredith Brody, played by Zoe McLellan, as she has left the department after her ill-fated romance with a spy. Season 3 will, however, have a new female agent, sent from Washington D.C.

In the last season, the doomed romance of NCIS Special Agent, Meredith Brody, and DHS agent, John Russo came to fore and she also learned that he is an imbedded spy planning for a terror attack in the city. Though Brody and her team saved the city from the terror attack with an off-book operation, her relation with a spy was a poor reflection on the team and she chose to leave the agency, reports state.

'NCIS: New Orleans' Season 3 has a new female agent, Tammy Gregorio, played by Vanessa Ferlito in the agency. She will be sent to check how Pride, played by Scott Bakula, conducts operations along with his team. The season will have the agency investigating and hunting for a sniper who targets special events and, Gregorio will also be a part of the manhunt. However, Gregorio's rough style and a no-nonsense attitude cause friction between the team and her.

Notably, the new agent, Gregorio will have a dark secret. The secret is related to her past and as revealed by Ferlito in a recent interview, her character was involved in some activity that caused many people to suffer. It is also a burden that Gregorio carries with her and the reason she joined the FBI. Pride will have full knowledge about her past.

She further revealed that in Episode 5, situations will lead Gregorio to show her vulnerable side. Ferlito also hinted that the dark secret might be related to Gregorio's past lover.

'NCIS: New Orleans' Season 3 airs on CBS.
