Navy (8-4) finished its regular season with four straight wins, including a 34-7 win on Dec. 14 against Army. Navy's offense was led by quarterback Keenan Reynolds, who did it all for the Midshipman. The sophomore threw for 1,038 yards and eight touchdowns, but carried the offense with his legs to the tune of 1,260 yards and 29 touchdowns.

Reynold's efforts in the ground game ranked second in the nation, trailing only Auburn. Shutting down Navy's rushing attack, which averaged 322 yards per game, is key for Middle Tennessee, according to ESPN.

"Their quarterback is excellent," Middle Tennessee coach Rick Stockstill said, via ESPN. "Very seldom does he make mistakes. He can beat you with his feet and can beat you with his decision-making process. He is good and their defense does not give up big plays."

Middle Tennessee (8-4), meanwhile, finished the regular season with a five-game winning streak. The team concluded its regular season on Nov. 30 with a 48-17 rout of UTEP.

Quarterback Logan Kilgore helmed the offense and passed for 2,289 yards, 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. The running back tandem of Jordan Parker and Reggie Whatley combined for more than 1,300 rushing yards while tallying nine touchdowns - six for Parker and three for Whatley.

"We're excited about playing a very good Middle Tennessee team," said Midshipman coach Ken Niumatalolo. "If you're 8-4, we recognize how hard it is to win. So for them to be 8-4 shows what kind of season they have."
