iPhone 7 Plus vs Nexus 6P

In terms of design and build, both smartphones have a wide range of color options with attractive metallic body. The iPhone 7 Plus weighs more at 188 g compared with 178 g of the Nexus 6P, comparatively Nexus 6P is bigger in size and dimension than the iPhone 7 Plus.

The display size of Nexus 6P is 5.7-inch, whereas the iPhone 7 Plus is 5.5-inch. According to Neurogadget Nexus 6P display is 29 percent sharper than iPhone 7 Plus. Still on display, Apple's iPhone 7 Plus has a feature that displays various shortcuts depending on the pressure exerted when touching the screen. On the other hand, pressure-sensitive display is not available in any of the Nexus devices.

In terms of processor and power, Apple's quad-core A10 Fusion clocked at 2.3 Ghz is slightly faster than the octa-core Snapdragon 810 clocked at 2 Ghz. Hence, Apple's iPhone 7 Plus would be slightly faster than Google's Nexus 6P.

Megapixel count for both smartphones is almost similar. However, Apple's smartphone comes with two cameras for better shooting in low-light conditions. With the second rear camera, the iPhone 7 Plus scores better than the Nexus 6P. Optical zooming wise, the 7 Plus gives better feedback to the image. Apple's smartphone has a built-in feature known as optimal image stabilization that allows the device's camera to get clearer and more stable shots. On the other hand, Nexus 6P's camera is not equipped with this feature.

Meanwhile, quick charge technology is one of the biggest plus points for Google's Nexus 6P. The fast charging feature enables the device to charge within 30 to 40 minutes. In this case, Apple's iPhone 7 Plus falls behind. Battery-wise, the iPhone 7 Plus come with a smaller 2900 mAh battery, while Google Nexus 6P houses a 3400 mAh battery.

Interestingly, Apple had fulfilled the desire of customers by making iPhone 7 Plus water-resistant, so now owners can dip their iPhone 7 Plus up to 1 meter of water without any fear. Contrariwise, the Nexus 6P is not water-resistant.

Overall, despite the age gap between the two, the Nexus 6P is still a worthy competitor of the iPhone 7 Plus.
