After scores of incidents of various problems encountered with Samsung's latest flagship Galaxy Note 7, the company has decided to roll out new devices to the market replacing the old stock.
There were several incidents of Note 7 catching fire, heating up like a stove, and many more that were reported to the company. In the light of such complaints, Samsung has taken a decision of replacing the entire stock of Note 7 with new devices. The new devices will also replace the existing ones in the market.
Samsung Electronics Co. also promised its customers that it would throw an option to the consumers of trading their original Galaxy Note 7 phone for another handset.
The company has announced a replacement of 1 million devices of Note 7 in the U.S. market. The company has also announced for replacement of approximately 51,000 devices in the Australian market.
As of this posting, the replacement devices have already entered the respective markets.
For customers who are about to claim a replacement of the Note 7, the updated Galaxy Note 7 will include a green battery icon to identify it as a new device that is free from all hardware and software problems.
Tim Baxter, the President of Samsung Electronics America, has said, "We are delivering as promised and moving quickly to educate consumer about the recall and make new Note 7's available".
