Google is wishing everyone a very Happy New Year with its last Doodle of the year featuring dance numbers.
As everybody is counting the last few hours of 2013 and anticipating the start of a fresh year, Google is participating in the celebrations with its popular Doodle. The animated Doodle features numbers 2, 0, 1, and 3, which represents the current year, dancing away in excitement, while number 4 keenly waits to replace the number 3. Google has designed the animated Doodle in a disco background, resembling the celebrations around the world on the gleeful night of December 31.
The animated Doodle features the numbers on a multi-colored podium and Google's logo is featured between two speakers. The second "o" in the logo is replaced by a disco ball and the entire set looks like a disco. Google wishes its users a "Happy New Year" when the mouse is hovered on top of the Doodle. It may look like an interactive Doodle, but it is just an animated one this time.
Google is adding a special section to this year's Doodle, a link to "What did the world search for this year?" The web giant beautifully shows what the world has searched for the most and features trending topics, news - both sad and joyous - and a lot more in just one page, Google Zeitgeist 2013.
The web giant has also added a short video that sums up the most highlighted events of 2013 emotionally. The video plays ""Feels Like Coming Home" by Jetta in the background and features everything from "a new pope to a new prince."
The Google Zeitgeist 2013 page also shows top 100 searches, trends 2013 gallery and lets users participate by adding their memorable moment in "View #my2013 gallery."
Google celebrates every major occasion with its interactive Doodle that replaces the colorful logo on its homepage. The web giant squeezes its logo as a part of the Doodle interaction. Last year, Google posted an assortment of 35 doodles that appeared during 2012.
