Unfortunately, the official premiere date of "Madam Secretary" Season 3 has been postponed for 1 week. According to Carter Matt, the newest season which was slated to air last Sunday, September 25, has been moved to air next Sunday, October 2. This is because the episode premiere of "NCIS: Los Angeles" will last for 2 hours taking up the time of the next show.
As for the official plot synopsis of "Madam Secretary" Season 3 premiere episode, Spoilers Guide notes, "Elizabeth McCord's (Tea Leoni) urgency to overhaul foreign spending could put president Conrad Dalton's (Keith Carradine) re-election campaign at risk.
When a storm destroys a naval base in Bahrain, Elizabeth urges President Dalton to reexamine his approach to climate change and his overall foreign policy, something that could jeopardize his re-election campaign.
Also, Jose Campos (guest star Carlos Gomez) tries to bring Henry McCord (Tim Daly) back into the DIA (Department of Internal Affairs) fold, and the McCords worry that their family is being stalked when they discover Jason McCord's (Evan Roe) laptop may have been hacked."
In the meantime, fans can watch a rerun of their favorite episodes of "Madam Secretary" Season 2 while waiting for the upcoming season.
