Miami Heat president Pat Riley confirmed that former All-Star power forward Chris Bosh's career with the team has ended. Bosh's performance started to slow down due to blood clot issues.
Miami has revealed that Bosh had failed the team's physical test and the team will not allow him to have any basketball activity. While Bosh looks forward to return, Riley stated that the team is not working to have him back on the court, The Bit Bag reported.
It all started when Bosh suffered from blood clot back in February 2015. Despite the symptoms, he played the game against the Dallas Mavericks as the Heat was already short-handed. He ended up in the hospital and found that the blood clot from his calf had traveled to his lungs that caused pulmonary embolism.
The Heat allowed him to play for the 2015-16 season where he averaged 19.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per game on the first half. However, his blood clot recurred and the team doctors told him that he cannot play for the rest of the season, as reported by New York Times.
On an interview with Uninterrupted, Bosh said that he felt that he "was written off." "If a doctor tells me, 'Hey, that's it, and this is how it is,' and I don't buy that, then I think I have the right to disagree with you," he added.
On the other hand, a lot of fans might still be thinking where Bosh could be traded. There are rumors saying that the Boston Celtics are in need of some power forwards. Bosh will be hitting the trade market soon and he could be the team's next target.
The Sacramento King might also be a good trading partner as rumor says that Rudy Gay would like to leave the team. Gay could help the Heat since they lose Dwayne Wade and Joe Johnson during the offseason.
