SpaceX, a private spaceflight company, released a video about the details of the much-awaited "Interplanetary Transport System."
Elon Musk, founder and CEO of SpaceX, was also scheduled to uncover SpaceX's ambitious plan to live in Mars.
According to The Verge, the video reveals SpaceX's new rocket called "Big Fucking Rocket" or BFR and the company's interplanetary spaceship called "Big Fucking Spaceship" or BFS.
Musk tweeted that the size of the BFR and BFS is much bigger than the SpaceX's Falcon 9. SpaceX's Falcon 9 is 70-meter tall while the combination of BFR and BFS will reportedly reach 122-meter tall.
The video shows how things the BFR and BFS works. When BFR and BRS reached the space, the BFR will be back to the launching pad while the BFS is set to park in the orbit.
SpaceX already have six of its Falcon 9 rockets as of this moment. The plans for BFR is quite similar with other Falcon 9 rockets. Only much more precise as the BFR is set to be back to its launching pad. This would allow the SpaceX to attach a fuel tank on top of FBR. That fuel tank will then be carried out again in space to fuel the BFS for its trip around the Solar System.
On the other hand, Musk is set to uncover the SpaceX's ambitious plan to inhabit Mars. The billionaire entrepreneur will elaborate SpaceX's plan on how to construct a human settlement on Mars.
Musk will discuss the plan during the International Astronautical Congress meeting in Guadalajara, Mexico. You can watch his talk from the SpaceX Channel on Youtube.
According to Space.com, the plan to inhabit the Red Planet will have its first expedition in May 2018. SpaceX goal for the May 2018 expedition is to land its unmanned Dragon capsules to Mars to test the land structures and other factors and technologies that human Mars missions might require.
