The most-awaited Karma drone is unveiled by action camera maker GoPro following many months of rumors. The US-based company unveiled its first drone, which comes with a Hero 5 session waterproof camera that gives users a sky- high experience, complete with a bird's eye view of the surroundings.

Design - The Karma drone has small-sized foldable propellers that make its assembly convenient by forming a small unit after folding. It can be worn comfortably at the back and is claimed to be lightweight by the company - the user only needs to unfold the arms and propellers blades to fly it. Needless to say, it's designed to perform tasks with very minimal complications. The dimensions making up the drone include the following: 303mm x 411mm x 117mm (opened); 365.2mm x 224.3mm x 89.9 mm (folded) with a propeller length of 10inches.
Capabilities - The GoPro Karma can go at a maximum distance of 1000m and can fly at an altitude of 4,500m from the controlling location. It has a weight of 1006g and can move at a speed of 35mph with an average wind resistance of 22mph. Moreover, it has multiple modes - Dronie mode for zoom photos, Reveal mode for pans until the subject is inside the shot, Cable cam mode while moving between one pre-defined point to other, and Orbit mode, which undergoes continuous circular pan around the main subject.
Camera - The GoPro Karma is provided with camera mounting place where a new release of GoPro camera Hero 4, Hero 5 Black or Hero 5 Session can be mounted. The GoPro claims that the new Hero 5 Black camera is waterproof and it features 4K video recording, Bluetooth, GPS and voice control.
According to GameNGuide, the GoPro Karma drone will cost USD 799.99 without a GoPro camera. The GoPro Hero 5 session bundle will cost USD 999.99 and the GoPro Hero 5 bundle will cost USD 1099.99 USD. The GoPro Hero 5 is capable of recording 4K videos at a 30fps rate which will be the most suitable one for GoPro Karma drone. It is reported that the drone will be available in the tech market from October 23, 2016.
