According to recent reports, "Counting On" is struggling hard to stay on air as they are losing advertisers by the day. Many big brands are already going out of their way to ensure that their products do not feature while the show is on air. This is certainly making things harder for the Duggar family who is trying hard to keep their reality TV careers going.
As if this wasn't enough, the show is not only losing advertisers but is unable to keep the viewers hooked on too; without which, "Counting On" is a lost cause. Since their first season, the reality series has already lost close to 1 million viewers and is threatened to lose more. However, despite all the challenges, the Duggar family doesn't appear to be the one to give without a fight.
In a recent news report, it was pointed out that TLC and Duggars are trying to save their reality show by giving Jim Bob Duggar more screen time as the strict patriarch has boasted time and again that "19 Kids & Counting" was one of the most watched shows back in the day. However, looks like that this strategy may backfire as the fans are not very happy to see Jim Bob on "Counting On," due to his failure to protect his daughters when Josh was molesting them. In fact, some even dub the current Duggar reality show as "19 Kids & Counting" reboot, only this time it is without Josh and Anna.
Meanwhile, the fans will remember that when Jessa was pregnant with Spurgeon, she was almost always present on social media, flaunting her baby bump. Unlike this time when she is hardly seen online. Is Jessa building fans' interest in second pregnancy, paving way for the show's third season?
Even though the show may be losing advertisers consistently and doesn't have as many viewers, "Counting On" is still TLC's star series and don't be surprised if you see the series continue on to Season 3.
