New ‘Suicide Squad' movie to be released September 2017

After the success of "Suicide Squad", reports are telling that Suicide Squad 2 is underway while claiming that the second episode will be released in September of 2017.

It further disclosed that the second sequel will feature the return of Captain Boomerang and other villains.

Bleedingcool.com supported the report and mentioned that Jai Courtney would love to do another Suicide Squad film.

There were also talks that the characters of Suicide Squad 2 will feature Tatsu Yamashiro who is referred to as Katana's backstory.

Karen Fukuhara portrayed the character shared that she would like to see the way Katana handles the relationship of her Soultaker sword. Her diseased husband and the happenings in her life prior to becoming a warrior was seen in Suicide Squad.

The actress also appreciated how the other cast members portrayed their respective roles most especially Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn and Will Smith's leadership.

Although the characters in the movie were not that well-explored, fans hope that the sequel could offer them background on each character.

Director David Ayer mentioned that the last part of Suicide Squad was the part that was filmed first. This provided him the idea for another story as he shared that anything is possible. One thing more, there can be a possibility that the relationship between Joker and Harley will be explored more in Suicide Squad 2.

According to Movie Pilot, aside from further exploration of the background of the characters, Jai Courtney who played Digger Harkness or Captain Boomerang revealed that he might be reprising his role. Apart from that, it was speculated that Captain Boomerang will make a cameo role in "The Flash." It has also been reported that more DC characters will likely appear in Suicide Squad 2.

Once the release date announcement for Suicide Squad 2 will be finally confirmed, there is a big possibility that the plot and the characters will be revealed too.
