4K Chromecast Ultra leaked ahead of Google event

Google's main event is on Oct. 4 yet the 4K Chromecast Ultra is now creating tremendous buzz around the globe as details about this wonderful gadget leaked ahead of time.

According to VentureBeat's gadget reporter Evan Blass, the Google Chromecast Ultra is a "4K-capable media player."

Another exclusive report from Android Police revealed the price of the Chromecast Ultra as compared to Google Home. It was disclosed that Google Home can be purchased at $129 while the Chromecast Ultra will just cost $69.

Chromecast brings a more powerful hardware that will enable users to stream content from smartphones or any related device to HDMI connection with a 4K HD resolution.

It is said to run on firmware version 1.21 that was recently released to the Chromecast Preview program members in beta form. This third-generation Chromecast bears the "G" logo.

The leaked image reveals a photo that appears almost the same as the Chromecast 2. The Chromecast Ultra has a disc-shape form in a dongle. It comes with the HDMI cable latched at the back by magnets.

The product is rumored to beat the Roku Stick and Fire TV Stick. This is going to be more amazing as even the Apple TV box doesn't have 4K support.

Blass' photo shows the product in black color only. Available colors are not revealed yet. Other features and full specs are still yet to be unraveled during the Google product launching on October 4, 2016. This most awaited event is termed "Made by Google" and will take place in San Francisco.
