'Black Moon' signifies judgement day is coming, according to conspiracy theorist

Another episode involving the moon is about to happen this Friday. But this time, the moon can't be seen by the naked eye. That event is called the "Black Moon".

Black Moon is defined as the second occurrence of a "new moon" in a single calendar month. In ancient times, this particular event was used by witchcraft to do rituals, spells, and other special works to make them more powerful and effective. In modern times, some say it is the "end of days."

But according to one astrophysicist, there's nothing true about these rumors. In a report by the Los Angeles Times, citing Dr. Ian O'Neill, an astrophysicist and Space Producer for Discovery News, the event doesn't signify the apocalypse is coming. He also said that it doesn't occur all the time but it's not rare at all. He also said that the moon is just "doing its thing" naturally.

The report also says that the black moon is the opposite of the "blue moon." Ironically, experts say the event of a "black moon" happens only "once in a blue moon." Said event place once every two to three years, with the most recent one in March 2014.

But in a separate report by The Inquisitr, the end-time preachers said that the event on Friday will bring about the so-called "judgement day" and global destruction. They say that the rare Black Moon had signified the "end of the world" and the second coming of Jesus, as prophesized in the Bible. One proof they cited is when the first part of Matthew's prophecy was fulfilled last September 1. The prophecy said the "Sun will be darkened" and that what happens that day when the "ring of fire" or solar eclipse occured over Africa.

The report also said that the conspiracy theorist is now certain that was predicted in Matthew 24:29 will also be fulfilled when the Black Moon will set Friday. Although preachers are busy in spreading rumors of an "end of days" scenario, scientists guaranteed it's not happening this Friday.
