After Real Madrid tied their match against SD Eibar, Barcelona had a golden opportunity to be the table topper, but unfortunately, the chance was wasted.

Currently, Atletico de Madrid is sitting at the top of the table with 15 points leading Real Madrid only by goal difference. Sevilla is currently positioned at a third of the table while Barcelona is at fourth with 13 points.

Barcelona was coming back from a fighting win at the Borussia Monchengladbach. It was expected that the game against Celta Vigo will be a walk in the park for the current La Liga Champions. But in reality, the thing was a lot different from the expectations.

From the very first minute, Barcelona was trying to dominate the game but was not able to score any goal. But Celta Vigo kept their heads cool and tried to play a counter attacking football, and as a result, Pione Sisto scored the first goal for Celta Vigo in 22nd minute.

This goal has really lifted the entire team, and the high work rate of Iago Aspas finally resulted in a goal for Celta Vigo in the 31st minute. And after two minutes Barcelona was hit back again by Jeremy Mathieu's same sided goal.

In the second half, Barcelona tried to engineer a change with the appearance of Andres Iniesta. The replacement was working quite good as Barcelona did strike back with two goals. The first goal was scored by Gerard Pique, assisted by Iniesta. And the second goal was scored by the Brazilian star Neymar from the penalty spot.

In this moment Barcelona smelled a comeback. But unfortunately, a rare mistake from goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen set the La Liga champs on the back foot again, as the goalkeeper kicked the ball straight to Pablo Hernandez, which resulted in the goal.

In the 87th minute of the game Pique, a scored another goal with a header but it was not enough to get at least 1 point from the game.

Many football experts have said that changes made by the Barcelona manager Louis Enrique are the reason of this defeat. But it can be expected that Barcelona will surely turn around and will gift the fans some quality football.
