Patrick Jane and his FBI friends (I'm sure Special Agent Abbot would disagree with my use of the term "friends") are back on Jan. 5. Here are three things to anticipate/wish for in Season 6's second half:
No. 1 - Jane's first date in a while
As I've previously mentioned, Jane is about to go on his first date in quite some time. He will ask out a woman named Krystal Markham who is linked to an FBI investigation. Is anyone else excited as I am for Special Agent Fisher's reaction? She already acted extremely awkward when she thought Jane and Lisbon had been sleeping together. There may be something there between Jane and Fisher and I'm waiting to see if show creator Bruno Heller and his team will go down that road.
No. 2 - The List
As of right now, Bertram's encrypted list of names is the only thing keeping Jane at the FBI. Agent Abbot is acting under the assumption Jane knows the names on the list. Jane doesn't. I'm hoping the second half of Season 6 shows Lisbon and Jane's mission to decode the names before Jane's rouse is up.
No. 3 - The new side of Lisbon/Jane
Heller told EW.com, a "new side" to Jane and Lisbon's relationship would show itself during the Jan. 12 episode "Golden Hammer". If it isn't going to be the romance that many fans want between the two characters, then what "side" is Heller referring to?
"The Mentalist" returns this Sunday, Jan. 5 at 10/9c on CBS.
