'Frozen 2' Spoilers, Updates: Disney to give Elsa a girlfriend instead of a prince charming? Idina Menzel says "I'm all up for it!"

One of the pressing questions in minds of Frozen or any Disney film fans is whether or not the studio is ready for the introduction of a lesbian princess. And who would be best to start this gender diversity campaign more than our strong and independent Queen Elsa of Arrendell in the upcoming sequel of the franchise, Frozen 2?

LGBT supporters raised their hands up in delight when Idina Menzel, the voice behind Frozen's Elsa, said during her appearance on "The Ellen Degeneres Show," that Elsa being gay is a wonderful idea.

When asked by Miley Cyrus who was serving as a proxy host for Ellen Degeneres about where does she see Frozen 2 going creatively, especially right now when the #GiveElsaAGirlfriend campaign is rather strong, Menzel teased, "Honesty, I don't know and I'm a servant of Disney."

Laughing it off, Menzel admitted that she is "all up for it," while giving Miley a hi-five and further saying, "I think it's a wonderful idea. It's a wonderful conversation that we should all have whether a Disney princess or queen should be gay."

Menzel, however, emphasized that she cannot promise that this storyline of Elsa having a lady lover in Frozen 2 is going to happen at all considering that the decision is still up for Disney.

Likewise, as per Pride Source, Menzel gave the same enthusiastic response in September when asked whether she is pressured about #GiveElsaAGirlfriend movement, saying, "May at first I was a little surprised because it's Disney, but I can say that I'm excited that the conversation is happening. I can't promise anybody that that's what's gonna happen. I'm just a servant at a big company called Disney and I'm happy to have a role and a job. But deep down, I am really happy that it's causing people to talk about it and have these kinds of conversations."

Moreover, when asked who should be Elsa's girlfriend during Menzel's appearance on Youtube star Tyler Oakley's show, she suggested, "Tinkerbell!"

Surely, fans would love Elsa to have her happy ending in Frozen 2, whether it be with the opposite or same sex, but wouldn't a lady lover be such a sweet surprise, don't you think? Frozen 2 is expected to hit theathers by 2018. Stay tuned for more exciting updates!
