NVIDIA is currently developing its next-gen graphics unit named the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. With this, PC manufacturers, as well as gamers and non-gamers alike all, arrive at the same conclusion and that it will be one of the best GPUs to exist thanks to its clock speed and affordable price.
A leak from an Overclock3D forum member hyped up the rumors regarding the new graphics unit of NVIDIA. The reports say that the GPU will use the GP102 GPU core design of NVIDIA. This means that it will be taking inspiration from the same GPU that the GTX Titan Pascal has.
If ever the rumors prove to be true, then the new GTX 1080Ti will compete and potentially put the GTX 1080, GTX 1070 and Titan X on the sidelines.
Specs of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
According to the new leaks, the GTX 1080 Ti will have a 1.6 and 1.5 GHz clock speed which is higher than the 1.4 and 1.5 GHz clock speed that the Titan X has. This would also mean that a whopping 10.8 TFLOPS of processing power is highly possible.
It is safe to assume that the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will be out to the market in the first or second quarter of 2017. There are also rumors that a new Pascal-based GPU of NVIDIA will be out by January 2017, and will be unveiled during the NVIDIA's attendance at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
Surely, NVIDIA will once again prove to the world that it is still effectively competing with other companies to bring out the best possible graphics experience to its customers. The upcoming NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is a live proof of it.
