Several smartphones released in past one year has been receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update. Now, Motorola has released a list of 15 of its phones that are eligible for its operating system upgrade.
People who have purchased a Motorola in the last 12 months are most likely to receive an upgrade request on their phone pretty soon. However, Android Central reports that there is a catch in the upgrade - not all Motorola users who purchased their phone in last one year will have the pleasure of upgrading their phone.
Here is a complete list of the Motorola phone that have a scope for an upgrade to Google's latest Android release, 7.0 Nougat:
Moto G Play (4th Gen)
Moto G (4th Gen)
Moto G Plus (4th Gen)
Moto X Force
Moto X Play
Moto X Style
Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen)
Nexus 6
Moto Z
Moto Z Play
Moto Z Play Droid
Moto Z Droid
Moto Z Force Droid

While most of the recently-released Motorola phones have been included in the list, others including Moto E3 Power and Moto G (2015) cannot be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat. The roll out of upgrade for the selected phones is expected to start in the last quarter of 2016 itself, according to BGR.
Android 7.0 Nougat update allows users to run two apps at the same time because of its new multi-window feature. In addition, it brings with itself, performance improvement and several other bug fixes with new features.
The phones upgraded with the new Android 7.0 Nougat update will showcase an all new notification panel with an option for an inline response. In addition to number blocking feature, always-on VPN and call screening, the user can now keep an eye on the background data usage, thanks to Google's new data saver model launched with Android 7.0 Nougat. Vulkan API and Emoji Unicode 9 support are other major features that come with the recent Android upgrade.
