While the spine-chilling news regarding the creepy clowns all over the US are pouring in every day, the anxieties and apprehensions of parents and families continue to escalate as the so-called creepy clown killers are still at large.
Started as a series of disturbing and terrifying creepy clown sightings in South Carolina, the Southeast region of the United States is not the only place shook with it. And now, men dressed up as perturbing clowns, trying to trap the children into the woods are gradually stretching up to the East coast of the country as well as to Idaho and Arizona, thus, rendering apprehensions and fears in the minds.
Southern states were the initial ones to be targeted. The frenzy, then reached out from South Carolina to Alabama, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina and Pennsylvania as various crazy clown cases have been reported around the vicinity of schools and by local wood dwellers.
While the reports of creepy clowns continue to sweep across the country, numerous pranksters have been reported to misuse the situation. However, they have turned out to be hoaxes. There have been both real and fake creepy clowns' encounters, reports Boise Weekly.
According to the Shoshone County Sheriff, the police authorities are trying their best to spot the fake clowns Facebook pages.
"A majority of these cases seem to be pranks that are taken too far," Shoshone County Sheriff Lieutenant Taylor Marlow wrote on Facebook. "The Shoshone County Sheriff's Office takes these reports seriously and are currently working on the 'clown' cases that have been reported to us."
Moreover, more than a dozen arrests have been made based on the rampant fake creepy clown incidents, reports The New York Times. Due to the never-ending threats on social media and real occasion sightings, schools and other institutions have issued warnings from the law enforcement agencies at proximity.

On the other hand, the gravity of the situation cannot be denied. The rife issue has been linked to the death of a 16-year old boy who was stabbed on Sunday. The authorities established that the tragic incident may have occurred after a dreadful confrontation with the masked man.
Local authorities and establishments are trying to connect the dots in order to deliver a safe, trouble-free experience to the young kids. And with Halloween just around the corner, many pranksters have been arrested as they have been trying to create chaos and panic in the society.
