On top of having to deal with a dramatic last-second loss to Auburn to finish the regular season, Alabama and their fans were inundated with rumors that coach Nick Saban was headed to Texas. Alabama (11-1) took the rumors seriously enough to offer Saban a $7 million contract extension, which he agreed to.

Was Saban ever entertaining the idea of leaving Tuscaloosa?

"I don't have any more reactions to it. I think it's kind of over so why do we want to talk about that?" Saban said, via ESPN. "We look forward. I'm looking forward. I made a commitment to our players that are here and I'm happy to be committed to them and I want them to make the same kind of commitment to the program and to their future success."

Although Alabama's chances for a three-peat BCS championship win are done, the team is still excited for the opportunity to end the season with a bowl win.

"We're fired up playing Oklahoma," Crimson Tide defensive end Jeoffrey Pagan said. "It's not for a national championship or anything, but we're going into it like it is. We're going to try to finish the season as strong as possible."

Oklahoma (10-2) finished the season strong with three straight wins, including a 33-24 win on Dec. 7 against Oklahoma State.
