Georgia and Carolina under alert: Hurricane Matthew causes massive flooding, power outage

The regions of the United States of America have been witnessing tough times since a couple of days with the arrival of the uncalled guest Hurricane Matthew.

The Hurricane hit the region of Florida with a massive wind gusts up to 100 mph and the oceanic waters entered the nearby areas.

After claiming scores of lives, Hurricane Matthew is now set to visit the regions of Carolina and Georgia. This will have tremendous repercussions on the coasts of Georgia and Carolina.

According to the Washington Post, if the latest computer model projections are correct, the coastal South Carolina could endure direct hit. Such winds are predicted to hit the regions during the early part of Saturday.

The National Hurricane Centre have opined that the wind speed probabilities rest at 60-70 percent of South Carolina experiencing hurricane force winds.

Dangerous flooding is expected in the regions hit by Hurricane Matthew on account of widespread rainfall summing at 6 to 8 inches.

The National Hurricane Centre has opined, "We have been very fortunate that Matthew's strongest winds have remained a short distance of the Florida coast thus far, but this should not be a reason to let down our guard. Only a small deviation to the left of the forecast track could bring these winds onshore".

Evacuation of the people living in the regions where the monstrous hurricane is expected to make way, have been evacuated by the local police.

More than 2,000 National Guard troops had been deployed and 355,000 people had been evacuated the coast, Gov. Nikki Haley said- though that still fell short of the state's goal of 1.1 million evacuations, NBC affiliate WIST reported.
