The New York Knicks is into the idea of acquiring Blake Griffin to complete the team's Big 3 along with Derrick Rose and Carmelo Anthony. In exchange for Griffin, it was reported that the team is willing to let go Kristaps Porzingis to LA Clippers.
It can be noted that Blake Griffin together with Chris Paul are due for extensions in more NBA seasons. Due to this, there is a need for LA Clippers to plan for a move that could best serve the interest of their team.
Moreover, Clippers management remains resolute that Griffin and Paul will not be traded. If this will be the case, the management needs to be flexible and be ready to spend huge amount just to make sure that those two star players remain in Clippers.
It can be recalled that Blake Griffin's performance in the rankings of best power forwards is not that good last season because of some reasons. He obtained injury and was suspended as a result of an altercation with a staff of the team. But he confessed that he regrets what he did and promises to improve his playing performance.
Because of his unstable attitude, he is being linked to a lot of NBS teams regarding trades. As claimed by Bleacher Report, some teams have inquired about his availability. Nevertheless, Doc Rivers, the team's head coach expressed his desire to keep the core of the team integral since he believes that this is only the way for the team to win a title this coming season.
Meanwhile, the New York Knicks is also thinking of roster changes so they can go all the way the next NBA season. If the combination of Derrick Rose, Courtney Lee, Brandon Jennings, and Joakim Noah will not work, then there is a possibility that Knicks will offer Kristaps Porzingis to LA Clippers to acquire Blake Griffin as per Parent Herald.
If this will push thru, Blake Griffin will be a great boost for New York Knicks chance to dethrone Lebron James's dominance; however, the LA Clippers is not that ready to let Griffin go.
