The gang is officially back. News and rumors about the much anticipated 3D computer-animated romantic comedy film, Toy Story 4, has been keeping the fans over the edges of their seats. But this time, it seems like the upcoming movie is almost on its final touches.
The previous Toy Story 3 released in 2010 had ended well with Andy giving his toys to a little kid named Bonnie, a character that is presumed to take over Andy in the upcoming film. Fans have previously doubted the existence of a fourth film, since the last one wrapped up successfully and profitably as well.
But the upcoming film's director, John Lasseter, who also directed the first two Toy Story movies, have expressed his excitement over the fourth film. In an interview with Cinema Blend, the director stated that Toy Story 4 will have a great and unique storyline.
Lasseter said, "We love these characters so much; they are like family to us. We don't want to do anything with them unless it lives up to or surpasses what's gone before." He also added that because the writers and the rest of the staff is excited about the movie, it's assured that the audience, viewers and fans of the Toy Story franchise will get excited as well.
According to Movie News Guide, the plot revealed that Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the toys will focus their journey on rescuing Bo Peep. It was remembered that Bo Peep was not featured in the previous film, so something might have happened to the character, which the viewers will definitely find out when the fourth movie gets released.
In 2014, The Hollywod Reporter announced that Lasseter will return to direct the fourth film, and the previous staff assigned for storyline will return as well. Additional casts and crews have made an additional appearance for the film, but significant casts from the previous film have returned as well. It has been reported that Tom Hanks, who voices Woody, has already finished dubbing the first part of the character in the upcoming movie.
Toy Story 4 was initially due to release on June 16, 2017, but was pushed back to June 15, 2018.
