Specs
The Huawei Mate 9 is expected to have ultrafast fingerprint scanner, a 6.0-inch display, and the Android Nougat 7.0 right out of the box and the latest development Kirin 960 chipset in the flagship. This is a chip that is designed by Huawei and produced by a third party manufacturer like TSMC and as per the reports the Kirin 960 chipset is expected to be unveiled on October 19.
There are reports that the Huawei Mate 9 will be available in the three variants. The first variant of Huawei Mate 9 is expected to be the base model and will have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The second variant is expected to have 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage. The final or the upper Huawei Mate 9 model is expected to have 6 GB of Ram and 256 GB of onboard storage.
The biggest speculation is the dual camera which is expected to be fitted-in at the rear end of the Huawei Mate 9. The dual camera at the rear is expected to be 20 megapixels along with 12 megapixels for wide angle imaging. The front of the Huawei Mate 9 is expected to have 8 megapixels for selfie craze. It is rumored that the dual camera setup will be co-engineered by Leica as done for its flagship Huawei P9.
Price
As per the reports, the Huawei Mate 9 has different price tags for different variants as mentioned earlier. Huawei Mate 9 with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage is expected to cost USD 480. 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of native storage is expcetd to cost USD 585 and higher variant of 6 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage will be for USD 705.
