"John Wick: Chapter 2" brings in a bunch of new characters. That makes sense as a whole lot of people got shot in the head in the first "John Wick" movie.
These new movie characters feature Laurence Fishburne as The Bowery King (who obviously has an affinity for pigeons), Riccardo Scarmarcio (Burnt) as Santino D'Antonio and Ruby Rose as the mute Ares.
We have the opportunity to see these figures briefly in action in the recently launched trailer. These stilly images gave us a good grasp of their style, something that will not be in deficit in "John Wick: Chapter 2."
This movie also stars John Leguizamo (Aurelio, the owner of a high-end chop shop), Bridget Moynahan (Helen Wick, John's deceased wife), Lance Reddick (Charon, the concierge at the Continental Hotel), Ian McShane (Winston, the owner of the Continental Hotel), Common as the head of security for a female crime lord and Peter Stormare.
It remains to be seen how will the reunion of Reeves with his Matrix fellow Laurence Fishburne (who will take such a formidable sounding title) looks like in "John Wick: Chapter 2". That is if the King will incur John Wick's rage or help him and shake it down.
That is just another reason why fans are already counting down the days until its release. Through, it's an interesting story about how did it come to that? We just need to thank Keanu Reeves for that.
He recalled Laurence Fishburne's honest comment about how much he loved the first John Wick then led to him being offered a part in the follow-up. Reeves remarked:
"Yeah, we met at a social function, and he was like, 'Hey man I really liked John Wick.' And I was like, 'Oh yeah?' So he was like, 'I'd read the script."
Obviously, Laurence Fishburne was quite taken with the script for Chapter 2, so after a few emails back and forth, and one meeting in New York with Chad Stahelski, he signed the contract and gave us The Matrix reunion that we've all been waiting for such a long time.
John Wick: Chapter 2 hits theaters on Feb. 10, 2017.
