TMZ reports that pop star Ke$ha has entered a treatment facility for an eating disorder, the same place that singer Demi Lovato went to back in 2010 to deal with her own issues.
Insiders claim that Ke$ha was admitted early this morning to Timberline Knolls, an all-female facility located near Chicago, Ill. that helps girls and women recover from a variety of mental health issues, including eating disorders, alcoholism, drug addiction, mood disorders and trauma.
"I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I've found it hard to practice," the 26-year-old "Timber" singer told TMZ in a statement. "I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder...to learn to love myself again, exactly as I am."
Fans have long noted how much the star has slimmed down over the past few years. Back in 2011, bikini photos surfaced of Ke$ha, prompting a slew of media scrutiny as some critics bashed her figure and likened it to John Travolta. Perhaps the comments got to the star, as not long after, she hit the scene with a notably more svelte and slimmed-down physique, and in her latest music video "Timber" with Pitbull, appears much thinner than she did in her previous projects.
Back in 2010, Demi Lovato left the "Camp Rock 2" tour and entered Timberline Knolls to deal with eating disorder as well as various mental health issues, and has often spoken fondly of the facility and how it helped her in her recovery.
