Android Nougat 7.1 Beta update will hit the market by the end of this month and as soon as it makes an entry, Google Pixel, and XL smartphone users can download it. Nexus 6P and 5X are also in the same league.
The Android 7.1 Nougat version is expected by October end and Google Pixel along with Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X are the first choices for the newest version of the Android operating system, reports GameNGuide. According to the news outlet, other smartphones may also receive the update but the times will differ. HTC 10 could be the first non-Google phone to get the update. HTC 10 Lifestyle, HTC M9, and One A9 might get it by the end of this year.
As for non-nexus phones, LG V20 is likely to be the first one that would make it to the list. What is more, leaks from Sony Slovakia hint at Sony Xperia XZ and Xperia 9X joining the likes of Google Pixel i.e. October end. Xperia X and Xperia X Compact will get the version one month later while Xperia Z5 Premium, Z5 Compact, and Z5 will get privy with Nougat 7.1 in December.
Speaking of Google, it will keep supporting Nexus products with software updates as well as customer service. In fact, the nexus devices have begun to receive the latest Android update and therefore, the users will surely get it soon, claims Neuro Gadget. The sensitive Samsung's Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have also been checked during the testing of the version and it might also get it soon, but Galaxy Note 7 will face delay on account of battery explosion problems.
The latest version of Android is expected to have new APIs and will also be loaded with fresh features that are aimed at increasing user satisfaction. Some of these include Night Light, Daydream VR support and other optimizations related to display and touch responsiveness. As for customization, users might also be able to add shortcuts to their Android apps, thereby, allowing them to skip some features and sections of the software, straightaway from the Home screen.
