Six months after the passing of Lisa Robin, the cause of death has been revealed as "multiple drug intoxication," according to PEOPLE magazine.
Lisa Robin played the role of Eric's (Topher Grace) elder sister in the popular sit-com "That 70's Show." She died in August last year at the age of 43. Cause of death was unclear. An earlier autopsy provided no clues and the mystery only thickened.
However, a new PEOPLE magazine report confirmed that the cause of death was "multiple drug intoxication" and the L.A. County Coroner ruled the death as an accident.
The toxicology results didn't reveal what drug was found in her system but just days before her death, the actress was reportedly hospitalized for having an alarming high alcohol blood level of .35, which can be fatal in some cases.
Robin had a history of substance abuse and was in and out of rehab several times to deal with her alcohol addiction. Just before her death, she was in a controversial incident with her ex-husband Robert Gillian who beat up the actress to obtain money she had earner from her show last May. Gillaim was convicted of domestic abuse in July and served 35 days jail time.
It was Robin's boyfriend who had bought her to the rehab center where she breathed her last. However, according to Gilliam, her boyfriend was responsible for her death.
"In the last two weeks, she called me 22 times to get away from him," he told TMZ.
The Coroner's full report will be released within two weeks.
