Acer is further expanding its Chromebook C720P lineup with a latest addition that comes in a new color option, the Moonstone White.
Chromebooks have become the new sensation in the PC world. Acer is taking advantage of this demand to help it come out of the red. While the previous lineup has been quite successful, mainly because of its low-cost price tag and reasonable features, Acer is pushing further with a new addition to its C720P Chromebook family. The latest C720P-2600 gets a stylish and attractive color option, not seen in any of its previous models. The Moonstone White best compliments the sleek Chromebook design and the 11.6-inch HD LED touch-screen back-lit display adds more spice to it.
The new Acer Chromebook C720P-2600 runs on Intel dual-core Celeron 2955U chip based on Haswell microarchitecture, like all C720P Chromebooks. The all-touch Chromebook model adds to the growing list of eight other Acer Chromebooks, one of which is also a touch-screen model. Acer has managed to break the low-cost barrier for Chromebooks with every launch and offers Chrome OS-based laptops at the most affordable prices.
Chromebooks have done incredibly well in the past and are likely to continue the trend as more people depend on cloud computing, which is best supported on a Chromebook. This line of laptops has grown into a fierce race, with competitors like Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Samsung, Lenovo and others offering laptops with Chrome OS.
Acer promises speedy and efficient performance of multiple tabs and apps on its latest model. The C720P-2600 offers battery life up to 7.5 hours, according to Acer's press release. The internet-connected laptop boasts 32GB SSD and a 7-second record boot time. Weighing just 2.98 pounds for an 0.78 inch thick laptop, Acer C720P-2600 offers 100GB of free Google Drive storage for the first two years after purchase and also 12 free Gogo in-air internet passes so your Chromebook is not bricked on a flight.
The Acer C720P-2600 Moonstone White model will retail for $300 in the U.S. later this month.
