An LG announcement has been made. A couple of flagship phones will be released for 2016: The LG G5 will be made available in April, and the LG V20 will be out by October end. However, the South Korean company does not look like it would like to take a long break from emerging with one more handset.
The surprise announcement is that of a mid-range LG smartphone images, first posted by Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) on Twitter. At present it is known as the LG LV5. However, it is not clear whether this is not a developmental codename. It might even change in the near future. The image has been leaked, and shows only the front and back portions of the handset, yet its features can be clearly seen.
How does the new version look? As pocketnow put it: "The so-called LV5 may be called something else, but there are a couple of details about the phone that skeeve us out like the rather boring, eggshell-ish, almost amateurishly plain back shell and some weird curvature on the front face."
Even though the entire front portion of the phone is composed entirely of glass, it seems to indicate the absence of a Home button. The appearance is like the LG G5 phone. At the back, the LG LV5 seems to conceal an LED flash under its camera as well as a fingerprint sensor even under that. It has its speakers on the lower left side.
If you examine its back cover, you find that it is plastic. Hence that seems to hint that the LG LV5 has a "detachable back panel." You can also probably remove the phone's battery, just like you do in the LG V20.
However, the company has not leaked out the specs, nor are the release dates clear. All the fans expect that the LG LV5 will be powered by Android 7.0 Nougat. Even the LGV20, it predecessor, which is expected to release by the end of this month, also shows the very same operating system.
Do you want to know more about the phone? Just wait and watch, as these are the only details available so far. More information may be released with the passing of days.
