Kansas City (11-5) started the season with nine straight wins before struggling down the stretch. The Chiefs lost twice to the Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers - Chiefs coach Andy Reid rested his starters in their last game against San Diego - and once to Indianapolis in a surprising 23-7 defeat.

Reid has already moved on from their late-season struggles and is focused only on advancing in the postseason.

"It's the start of a new season. That's how playoffs work," Reid said, via ESPN. "You're in the dance, as they say. It's another phase of the season. You've worked very hard as a team to get into this position. Now it's important that you exhaust yourself to make sure you're right."

Not turning over the ball is one of the major points of emphasis for Kansas City. The Chiefs committed four turnovers in their last outing against the Colts, according to ESPN.

"That's a challenge I think both ways - both offensively and defensively," said Reid. "(The Colts are) efficient with the ball, they don't have a lot of penalties that are called against them and they don't turn the ball over much. That's this time of the year, you've got to eliminate mistakes. Mistakes get magnified in the playoffs."

Indianapolis (11-5) clinched the AFC South and ended the season on a strong note with three straight wins. In those last three wins, the Indianapolis defense tightened up and allowed just 20 points.

"I think if you check the last six Super Bowl winners, they got hot at the right time," Colts defensive end Robert Mathis said. "That's what it's all about, getting hot at the right time."
