Eagles quarterback Nick Foles began the season as a backup, stepped in for an injured Michael Vick and never looked back. The 24-year-old finished the regular season having completed 64 percent of his passes for 2,891 yards, 27 touchdowns and two interceptions.
Now all eyes will be on Foles to see whether he can carry his success into the postseason. His first test in the playoffs will be the New Orleans defense.
"They're a talented group," Foles said, via ESPN. "They're going to mix it up with their coverages. They're going to try to put pressure on you at times and they're going to try to get to you.
"I think the key to that is that we have to recognize as a team when they're trying to put pressure on. As the quarterback, I have to recognize which coverage they want to play and what pressure (they're going to bring), and that's what this week of preparation is all about.
"We're trying to figure out what they're going to do, and I'm sure they'll have new things ready to go for us."
New Orleans, meanwhile, will try to turn their struggles around on the road. A win in Philadelphia on Saturday would be the Saints' first postseason win outside of the Superdome; New Orleans is 0-5 on the road in the playoffs, according to ESPN.
"We're in the postseason. That's all that matters," said Saints linebacker Junior Galette. "It gives us a chance to go get a ring, so that's it."
