Windows 10 update or Redstone 2 is all set for October 26 release. While Microsoft Surface Pro 5 has not been officially confirmed by the tech giant, fans have a strong feeling that it will launch alongside the upcoming update on the said event date.
However, The Verge noted that it is unlikely for Microsoft to launch two of its big products, simultaneously. Moreover, if there will be a Microsoft Surface Pro 5 at October 26 launch event, it would also feature PC hardware that is compatible with the new Windows 10 update.
Most companies have a tendency to release their star products in the month of October, just in time for holiday season all around the world. While Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will certainly excite the fans and tech enthusiasts alike, there is also rumor that Apple's hyped and awaited MacBook Pro 2016 and MacBook Air 2016 is also set for release around the same time. Some even go so far as to speculate that Apple will launch their laptops soon after Microsoft launches its Windows 10 and Microsoft Surface Pro 5.
In a report by Tech Advisor, there is also a possibility that Microsoft Surface Pro 5 may not launch at all this year. The report indicates that if Microsoft is planning to feature Intel's Kaby Lake chipset in their Surface Pro 5, then October may be too soon to launch their laptop. There is also speculation that Surface Pro 5 will come in three different variants, 27-inch, 24-inch and 21-inch. The lapotop is also expected to sport 4K high-res display, 16GB RAM, the new-age USB Type C port and 16MP rear and 8MP front camera.
For now, nothing has been confirmed by Microsoft so that the fans must take this update with a grain of salt, until officially announced by the company.
