The Kolibree Smart Toothbrush was showcased at the preview event for the 2014 International Consumer Electronics show in Las Vegas, Sunday. This adds to the growing list of wearable and internet connected gadgets. The toothbrush has its own companion smartphone app that helps users keep daily tabs on their brushing habits.
The downloadable mobile app connects to the toothbrush via mobile's Bluetooth. It records each brush stroke and reveals if the brushing time was sufficient. The app also tells if a user has reached important parts of the teeth and gums. Based on the stats, the app will give you an overall score that can be used to maintain good oral health, according to the company.
The Smart Toothbrush can be very helpful for kids. Parents can keep daily tabs on their children's brushing habits with one app for all family members. The app also shows a graph that compares each family member's brushing habits.

Kolibree also lets third-party developers to build apps and games for the brush.
The Smart Toothbrush will be available for purchase in the third quarter for prices ranging from $99 to $200, depending on the model.
