Android 7.0 Nougat Update: OnePlus 3 confirmed to receive OS around Christmas; Things to know before you upgrade

Android 7.0 Nougat update from Google is very much needed for the smartphone maker to upgrade their phone. OnePlus Company confirms the Android 7.0 Nougat to its OnePlus 3 smartphone before the end of 2016. OnePlus 3 users will see the Android 7.0 Nougat update during Christmas as confirmed by OnePlus CEO.

According to Parent Herald, the Chinese smartphone maker is working on Android 7.0 Nougat update on its latest flagship OnePlus 3. OnePlus 3smartphone was recently released by the tech giant into the tech market with OxygenOS based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Now, the company is ready to compete in the race of Android 7.0 Nougat update from Google.

As per the reports, OnePlus told Reddit AMA that it is "actively working" in bringing the latest Google's Android 7.0 Nougat. The CEO of OnePlus, Pete Lau also confirmed it by posting the update on Twitter, which shows Android Nougat's N logo on the OnePlus 3.

The reports claims that the OnePlus 3 will be available with Android 7.0 Nougat update before the end of 2016. OnePlus 2 is also expected to have the Android 7.0 Nougat update after one month from the release in OnePlus 3.

However, OnePlus X is yet to be confirmed by the OnePlus company for receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update or not. OnePlus X users can opt to use the CyanogenMod to try Android 7.0 Nougat at user's own risk.
