As fans already know, the marriage between Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes was over because of his involvement with the Church of Scientology. She was very desperate to leave the Mission Impossible star.
So, she agreed to sign a clause that prevents her from saying anything about the Church in public or dating another man for five years after the divorce. Also, the Hollywood star is not supposed to let any new man near their daughter Suri in the mentioned period.
The insider has said that she agreed to this terms and got $4.8 million in child support and another $5 million for herself. In case she breaks the contract in any way, then, she will lose a huge sum of money.
Since Katie Holmes divorce, she has been linked with few celebrity men like Matthew Perry, Joshua Jackson and of course, Jamie Foxx. In one of her previous interviews, the Batman Begins actress revealed how she manage to tackle all this nonsense.
When asked how she handles to stay focus on her professional life when the public is so desperate to know what is happening in her personal life, Katie just elegantly avoided the unpleasant topic and said that she prefers to do the things that make her happy and self-assured.
"There's definitely an awareness of the fact that people have camera phones, and that your privacy is sometimes invaded, but that's something that I think everyone has had to adjust to," she stated.
"Even early on, when I was a young actor and all of a sudden people knew who I was, my dad told me, 'Don't let that change how you live your life.' I've always sort of approached it that way. You have to continue to do the things you want to do and not let outside forces dictate."
