NFL News: QB Dak Prescott replaces Tony Romo for Dallas Cowboys in Week 8 against Eagles; Philip Rivers for trade

Dallas Cowboys, in its latest news, would trade QB Tony Romo and Chargers QB Philip Rivers at some point. Meanwhile, as Romo is not that stable to play yet, Dak Prescott will start for the Cowboys against the Eagles in Week 8.

Mike Freeman of the Bleacher Report lists Bears, Jets, 49ers, and Browns as teams which need quarterback badly, An official from the Cowboys shared that the team could have a mid-round pick for Tony Romo but there are factors that have to be considered -his age and injury, as per Pro Sports Daily.

For Philip Rivers, Freeman mentioned that there is a need for San Diego to net a second-or-third-round for their quarterback.

However, there are issues that might prevent this trade like the absence of trade clause in Rivers' contract and the consequences of salary cap brought about by trading any of the players.

But between Tony Romo and Philip Rivers, it's Romo who is likely to be traded since the Dallas Cowboys has a quarterback option in Dak Prescott.

Meanwhile, NFL Network Insider reported that Dak Prescott will start the Week 8 when the Dallas Cowboys will face Philadelphia Eagles.

But according to Dak Prescott, he has not been informed yet that he will start against the Philadelphia Eagles but he shared his excitement to take charge of Week 8.

Well, this news won't come as a surprise anymore since a lot of fans have witnessed how Prescott played during the last six weeks.

The report also added that Tony Romo might not be able to play versus the Cleveland Brown come Week 9 since he is not yet physically healthy. The Dallas Cowboys have to be cautious with their QB Romo coming off an injury. Cowboys' coach, Jason Garett even disclosed that Romo has not been cleared for practice but Romo is making a great deal to improve his core strength.

It is known for a fact that health is an excuse for the Dallas Cowboys to have Tony Romo on the side line. But even if he can already p-lay, they should not bench Dak Prescott in this crucial time.

So, if the Dallas Cowboys will still rely on Dak Prescott for the NFL week 8, there could be a chance that Tony Romo and Philip Rivers will be made available for trade.
