Android 7.0 Nougat: OTA Update for K5 Note, Vibe P1, Vibe Phab 2, Phab 2 Plus and Phab 2 Pro, K3 Note, K4 Note by end 2016 likely

Google has recently launched the latest version Android i.e. Android Nougat 7.0. Now the Android users are going crazy for the update of this latest Operating System, but as always Google firstly rolls the update for the Nexus devices then other phone get it.

Various smartphone companies are rolling out the updates. So, check whether your phone is eligible for the Android update or not in this list of eligible devices.

Lenovo smartphones are not the first to get Android update. But the reports suggest that the Lenovo K3 Note, K4 Note, K5 Note, Vibe P1 might get Android 7.0 update by the end of 2016.

According to MobiPicker, the list for the update also includes Lenovo phablets such as Vibe Phab 2, Phab 2 Plus and Phab 2 Pro. Lenovo ZUK Z2, and ZUK Z2 Pro are also up in the list. But the ZUK Z1 will not be getting the Android Nougat update as it is running on the Snapdragon 801 processor. You should note that the devices which are running Snapdragon 800 and 801 are not eligible for Android Nougat 7.0 update.

The report shows that the Lenovo has announced its smartphones to give an update with Google's new Android 7.0 Nougat. Lenovo K3 Note, Lenovo K4 Note, Lenovo K5 Note, Lenovo Vibe P1 are the phones which Lenovo might put-in the Android 7.0 Nougat update.

If we go by the Lenovo's roll out schedule for Android Marshmallow last year, it might take a few months to reach all the Lenovo devices this year. But once the update is available then, the users will be notified via an OTA notification on their device. And then, they can update easily with an easy download via Wi-Fi.

This installation is same as the previous updates. The users are advised to keep the backup of their devices before starting the update. Also you have to be securely connected to Wi-Fi and have a lot of battery for the update process.

The new update will be having various features like quick-switching between apps and multi-window support with enhanced notifications. The new OS will also give the VR interface, Screen Zoom and an improved Java 8 language supports, among others.

Various reports are also confirming that Google has announced Android 7.1 Nougat on September 4th alongside its Pixel and Pixel XL smartphone. Right now Google is making the developer preview of Android 7.1 for Nexus line-up of devices.
