'Transformers' Director Michael Bay Storms Off Stage As Teleprompter Fails (VIDEO)

During a Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, "Transformers" Director Michael Bay ran off stage after becoming flustered when a teleprompter began to malfunction, according to the Los Angeles Times.

During a Samsung press conference highlighting the new curved Ultra HD TV, Bay was answering the question of what inspires him when he began to mix his words and told the crowd the type on the teleprompter was off.

Bay goes on to say "we'll wing it right now," leading Samsung Executive Vice President Joe Stinziano to ask him to simply tell the crowd what he thinks of the curve, but he was unable to express his views and became agitated on stage.

As the video above shows, Bay simply panicked and walked off the stage apologizing to the crowd and leaving Stinziano alone on stage .

Shortly after, Bay took to his blog and said : "Wow! I just embarrassed myself at CES," the Times reported.

"I rarely lend my name to any products, but this one is just stellar," Bay said, according to the Times. "I got too excited to talk, that I skipped over the Exec VP's intro line and then the teleprompter got lost. Then the prompter went up and down -- then I walked off. I guess live shows aren't my thing."

Bay was supporting the new "special curved screen experience with Samsung" and was set to premiere "Transformers 4" footage during the conference, but his meltdown became the most talked about event instead, the Times reported.

The 105-inch curved television set in ultra definition and their 85 inch bendable tv which can go from flat to curved by a simple press of a button, according to the Times. The new curved UHD TV will hit stores in Spring.
