Emma Roberts and her long-time boyfriend Evan Peters are engaged after Peters proposed with a pink gold diamond ring over the holidays, Extra reports.
After dating for more than a year and a half, Evan Peters finally popped the question to long-time girlfriend Emma Roberts. The "American Horror Story" actors got engaged in New York City and then headed to London to spend New Year's together. The newly engaged "Wild Child" star was spotted with her new fiancé and Extra confirmed she was wearing her big engagement ring.
After news of the engagement started making the rounds, the couple's close friend, photographer Tyler Shields, confirmed the news by congratulating the newly engaged couple and shared a stunning picture of the two.
"Congrats to @RobertsEmma and Evan Peters for getting Engaged this was the moment I knew he really loved her!" he captioned the picture.
Ever since a source confirmed to JustJared in July 2012 that the duo were seeing each other, their relationship has made headlines for a variety of reasons.
In July 2013, Roberts was detained by police on suspicion of domestic violence after the couple got into a heated argument in a Montreal hotel room, TMZ reported.
Roberts later went on record to clarify the incident, calling it a "misunderstanding."
"It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding," PEOPLE magazine quoted a rep as saying. "Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it."
Roberts is the niece of actress Julia Roberts and previously dated Chord Overstreet of "Glee" fame.
