Rihanna, Drake Split News: Former Couple Plays Coy Games on Social Media After Breakup

Rihanna and Drake are 20-something super celebs, who attained success at a young age. So when a millennial is in a beef, how do they settle the scores these days? By being passive aggressive on social media. This is what Drake and Rihanna have come down to.

It all started with Rihanna's mysterious post on Instagram, followed by rumors about Drake finding his post-breakup distraction in reality star India Love. Soon after RiRi's post that liberated her of all the blame in her failed relationships, Drake's response came almost on an impulse. He wrote, "It's thirsty, but OK we get it. Also, sorry but are we to take that blue heart to mean LOVE...or?"

As the Instagram war of words was in full swing, Rihanna visited her family in Barbados and posted a picture of herself with her dad. Drake took the cue and posted one of his own father with a caption "When she accuses you of something you didn't do and you got proof."

This went on for a while as the two went back and forth on their respective Instagram accounts, taking dig at one another. Rihanna posted about chilling in Barbados and Drake would follow up with a similar post of him enjoying at an after party. In the last blow, as Drake posted a picture of him at Ayesha Curry's book signing event, all Rihanna said was #ImWithHer.

Rihanna and Drake were a hot item back in September, when their maturing romance was loud and clear at the MTV VMA awards. As Drake presented Rihanna with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, he made an explicit declaration of his love for the 28-year-old Barbadian singer.

However, all of a sudden, two weeks before, the two singers parted ways in a nasty breakup. So what exactly happened?

According to an insider, Rihanna and Drake are not exclusive any more and are seeing other people. While they still love each other, their busy schedules have gotten in the way of their romance. But that doesn't mean that they are over for good.
