'Game of Thrones' Season 7 is quite far away but a major scoop from the HBO series has come out. A picture from the sets shows Jon Snow and Davos meeting Tyrion and therefore, it is clear that a major alliance will be seen in the next season.
Photos from the sets of 'Game of Thrones' Season 7, shed light at representatives of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) i.e. Tyrion Lannister and Missandei meeting Jon Snow and Ser Davos, reports Cinema Blend. The photo shows Jon (Kit Harrington) shaking hands with Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) as Dothraki warriors and Missandei stand in the background. Ever since the picture came out, it is being said that Dany and Jon will collaborate to take on the Iron Throne from Cersei.
Not only this, another well-known character Gendry (bastard of Robert Baratheon) is also going to return as scenes were shot with him in tow. The last time viewers saw him was in Season 5 when he escaped on a boat with the help of Ser Davos. 'Game of Thrones' Season 6 did not have any mention of Gendry which was unfortunate as everyone was expecting him to return.
Season 6 also revealed that Jon Snow is the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen and therefore, he is also a Targaryen like Dany. This makes him a legitimate heir to the Iron Throne and if he and Dany come together, the game would really become interesting. Add to it Gendry's entry and what one gets is some interesting bloodline drama.
In the meantime, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are in continuous contact with author George R.R. Martin and they have been working together on key storylines of the fantasy drama, claims Daily News. Everything undergoes scrutiny and happens only when it is sanctioned by Martin. Benioff had said last year that George remains deeply involved and keeps them updated about his plans and the destinies of the various characters.
It is worth mentioning here that 'Game of Thrones' has already surpassed Martin's sixth installment i.e. 'Winds of Winter' and it is said that the book will be out before Season 7 of the HBO series returns next year.
