According to recent reports, Making Star Wars posted a leaked video, straight from the sets of "Star Wars: Episode 8."
The leaked video shows location in Northern Island which is similar to the one seen in prequel, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." In the upcoming instalment, 12th century monastery island and locales similar to this one will feature as planet of Ahch-To. This is where the first Jedi Temple was built. Luke Skywalker rediscovered it when his Padawans were killed by the Knights of Ren, foiling his plans to restore the Jedi Order.
As the leaked video surfaced, "Star Wars: Episode 8" plotline becomes far more apparent, suggesting that a lot of this film will take place at the temple, earlier believed otherwise.
The sequel is also being filmed at Dubrovnik, the Croatian capital, indicating that "Star Wars: Episode 8" will take the fans through urban environments of the galaxy. However, if the leaked video is any indication, the fans can also expect to see a lot of action between Rey and Luke around the first Jedi Temple.
Meanwhile, there are also theories indicating that Rey's parentage will be revealed in the follow-up film. Even though Daisy Ridley is not prepared to talk about Rey's parents just yet, she does reveal that "We will see in a year."
According to fan theories, Rogue One's Jyn Erso will be Rey's mother. However, Ridley thwarts the speculation that she existed too far back in the "Star Wars" timeline to be a suitable candidate.
While all of this is mere speculation at the time, "Star Wars: Episode 8" will hit the theaters in 2017, that is bound to give more clarity.
