Xiaomi wraps off its latest virtual reality headset, the Mi VR. Brand new headset is designed to work with the latest generation of Xiaomi smartphones and the most attractive thing is that it will only cost you $29 that keeps with Xiaomi's goal of offering class products at lower prices.

Apart from the price, there are some other noticeable features in the latest Mi VR. The new headset coming with "hardware-level" motion sensor that is resulting in improved latency of up to 16ms.
Also, the low latency combined with a high-end smartphone that would ensure that you will not get motion sickness. The motion sickness is most notable problem with most VR headsets when you use them for more than a few minutes, Mashable reported.
The latest gadget form Mi will be offering over 30 VR apps and over 500 panoramic videos at launch. The company has noted that 200+ developers have signed up for the platform to make apps.
Another remarkable thing about the Mi VR is its controller that features a nine-axis inertial motion. Controller also supports touch control. It is a kind of similar remote that you get with the Google's Daydream View VR headset. However, it is not officially confirmed that Mi VR is compatible with Daydream, Google's new VR platform, or not.
At present there is no international availability of Xiaomi Mi VR. But it is confirmed that, the headset will work with recently launched Xiaomi smartphones i.e. Mi Note 2, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, and the Mi 5. At this point, it is not clear whether Xiaomi Mi VR will work with other smartphones or not.
