Did the Duggar sisters plan pregnancy to avoid ‘Counting On’ cancelation? Jinger’s engagement scripted as well?

It seems like the Duggars can go to any extent to survive on reality TV. To save their show "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" from getting canceled, the Duggar sisters reportedly planned their pregnancy and engagement so that the TRPs could rise and motivate TLC to carry on with the show.

It is said that the engagement of Jinger Duggar and second pregnancy of Jessa Duggar have been timed to save their show "Counting On," reports Parent Herald. Speculations that the sisters have done this to increase the TRPs are flying thick and fast and more so, because the TRPs have shown an upward graph in the recent past.

Regular viewers of the show know that it was in the recent episodes that the engagement of Jeremy and Jinger picked up steam. Also, Jessa and her husband spoke at length about her pregnancy and how they plan to break the news to their family. So, is it that all this is just an attempt by the Duggars to thrive on reality TV as they have been under the spotlight ever since they opened their eyes?

Notably, when it was found out that Josh Duggar was involved in a molestation case, the Duggar family show "19 Kids and Counting" got canceled. However, "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" took its place and was doing fine but after advertisers started withdrawing their support for the show, rumors of TLC having second thoughts about renewing 'Counting On' started circulating.

In the meantime, Duggar head Jim Bob and Michelle are busy updating the Facebook account of the family with events that are going on inside the clan, reports Ecumenical News. They are saying good things about their son Joe as well and praising him for being a hard worker.

One of the photos on Facebook shows Joe helping out with the family's car company and smiling at the camera. His dirty clothes and hands are conspicuous in the snapshot and they have also garnered admiration from fans. Some said that Jim is a great father for he taught his boys the value of hard work and how not to be afraid to get one's hands dirty.
